Welcome to St. John's Episcopal Church.  Established on the square in Carlisle, Pennsylvania in 1752,  St. John’s is a parish of the Episcopal Diocese of Central Pennsylvania, a part of the world-wide Anglican Communion.

The Holy Table around which we gather is the Lord's, not our own. Newcomers and visitors are welcome at any of St. John's services.

We proclaim Jesus Christ to be the head of this parish church. Our mission, expressed in the beloved hymn, is "to see thee more clearly, love thee more dearly, follow thee more nearly, day by day."  Thus, it is indeed Christ who welcomes us all to share in His life and work. We pray that you will find Christ and be found by Him in the life and ministry of St. John's.
